In the last session of out seminar “Web PR”, Heinz Wittenbrink talked about the search tool Yahoo Pipes, a very eective search tool that aggregates different search tools (such as twitter, facebook search etc) into one stream. In other words: If you want to aggregate all real time search results for e.g. “Starbucks” in one stream, then Yahoo Pipes can reduce your work load a lot because you don’t have to open all of the search tools you use, but only your particular search pipe.
Here’s the way it works (tutorial):

The point is that this tool is very effective for both journalists and PR professionals as both need good and, more importantly, fast search results – journalists for research and PR pros for clipping and web-monitoring.
Hope, you like it! Cheers! 😉
I highly appreciate your after-university-instructions. 🙂
It’s so great to have some kind of a reference book.
2 thumbs up!
Thanks a lot, Elisabeth! 🙂
